Below is a drawing that depicts the basic process for affiliate use of delivered media. The process is facilitated through an efficient browser based application (uses Internet Explorer). In addition to basic listing of media by date-time, affiliates can view media in dynamic categorized groups, or searching the repository to locate the media that is most relevant. Once the desired media is located, users can quickly send the media to a supported integration system (ex: Telestream), play the clip out (genlock SDI or composite), or transfer the media out in file format. Clips can be accessed individually, as shows, or as playlists. Users can also choose to join a regional or national carousel for legacy “feed” style use. Affiliate servers can store thousands of hours of video; however, should affiliates need access to older material, they can locally search the system archives. Tens of thousands of preview clips are available locally for archived material, which significantly reduces demand on the archive(s). Once an archive clip is located, the user can then request the high quality version for use and the media will be queued for distribution.
